Re: "Man faces 6 months in jail for yawn"
A decent judge would have stopped the proceedings and addressed the man immediately. He would have informed him that he was disrupting court and that any further interruptions would result in contempt of court. Usually a warning is given to folks.
The suppleness of fanaticism in affiliating with every other vice, is not duly appreciated; it is a fact true, if unexpected, that genuine fanaticism can tolerate any thing except the peculiar object of its hate, and that it is compatible with supreme selfishness. For what is fanaticism but selfishness acting under the forms of pride with its offspring censoriousness, the lust of power, envy and dogmatism?
