You and I are paying exorbitant prices for any hospital visits, let alone for "errors" that can be made.
According to this report, health insurance companies pay (without fully examining) for just about any visits that fall under $100,000.
This is one of the reasons why health insurance is skyrocketing and in the few conferences that were televised on Health Care Reform, I did not hear any issues/arguments brought up about this kind of thing.
