Promoting Abnormality

by Lewis J. Goldberg

Typically, parents want the best for their children's education. They want them to attend the best schools, get the best grades, graduate at or near the top of the class, and go on to excel in higher academics and in the work world. Our nation's schools used to occupy the position of partner in helping our children obtain these goals - arranging all the necessary tools and personnel resources.

The above scenario has changed. It didn't happen overnight, rather it was a slow turning. Parents, regard: the public school is your enemy. It matters not how good you think it is, how small your town is, or how well you know the members of your school board. What is the heresy eluded to? Your schools are promoting sinful behaviour, poor health, foul hygiene, a culture of death. Homosexuality.

Think about it: Any biology text will explain that it is the natural and designed function of the human body, or the body of any creature for that matter, to procreate through male/female intercourse. That which is contrary to the standard function [normal] is necessarily abnormal. And since homosexuality is unknown in the animal kingdom, we can deduce that it arises from that which we humans are best at - sin. In a phrase, it is a 'lifestyle of choice.' That the 'choice' arises from seemingly natural internal 'desires' is no excuse. The pedophile and the shoplifter have desires too, but them we lock up.

As an example, read this news item from February from the Washington Times, which is entitled Parents Protest Gay-themed School Plays. In short, a group of parents in Novato, CA must file suit against the school district to protect their children from abomination. We hear of schools seeking to become 'safe zones' against drugs, guns, violence and other supposed hazards of life, yet in Novato, as well as other locations around the country, abomination is not only tolerated, but promoted to the children.

Ostensibly, our public schools seek to eliminate 'hatred' and 'discrimination' through desensitising students to differences between individuals. This sounds noble and good, but let us be candid and say that not only does this dilution not work, but it is not in any way right to water down these feelings. Discrimination, and even so-called hatred, can be good things. Discrimination is part of our innate sense of right and wrong, and the Bible teaches we should hate that which God Himself hates.

Through the last hundred and fifty years or so, we have been told that if we only accept such-and-such, this nation will be a better place. We abolished slavery, and the nation was no better off. We let women vote, and the nation was no better off. We forcefully desegregated society, and the nation was no better off. We flung the doors open to mass immigration of heathen, and the nation was no better off. We broke down the barriers of employment to women, and the nation was no better off. We legalised abortion, and the nation was no better off. In fact, it can be demonstrated that the nation has suffered for each and every one of these decisions; if not for the object itself, then for the way in which it was brought about.

Today, we are being told that if we just accept homosexuals into the social and legal mainstream - invite them to the Christmas dinner, allow them to chaperone the school event, and join them in union by state license, having legal rights of succession in all matters - that the nation will be a better place.
